In Paris I have a day for sight seeing but I have to catch a 7.35 am flt from Orly airport which area to stay?

March 19th, 2008 by willarddiaz

I want to be close enough to city centre as well as within 15 mins of Orly airport so that early morning flt is not a problem.

Hi,,, I was in Paris in Feb…. your going to have a problem…. downtown is about 45 minutes away from Orly.. or longer depending on traffic…….

I suggest to stay at the Hilton nearby Orly,, and go do your sightseeing by taxi,,,, yes,, its expensive,, but lots of things are in walking distance…. then,, some are not….

Go to the Louve,,see the mona lisa….. go to the effiel tower at night,, they have a wonderful light show….
Check out Notre Dame ,, and do some shopping on the Champs Ellesse…… take lots of pics….

good luck……

Where can I buy Formula 1 1/18 scale models in the United States?

March 18th, 2008 by willarddiaz

All the ones I see are outside of the USA and cost alot for shipping.

Thanks

Diecast.org is dedicated to collectors of diecast models. Diecast models are a great way to display your love of cars, motorcycles, trucks and history. Whether you spell it diecast, die-cast or die cast… whether your scale is 1:18, 1:24 or 1:43, it is the right place to enjoy the hobby of diecast collecting.

Can anyone show me a map of Train Stations near Navy Pier in chicago?

March 17th, 2008 by willarddiaz

The nearest CTA station is the Grand station on the Red Line, at Grand & State St. about 3/4 mile from the Pier. No other CTA line is close to the Pier.

The nearest Metra station is Millennium Station at Randolph & Michigan, but that’s only relevant if you will be using Metra Electric or South Shore trains to get to the city. It’s about the same distance from the Pier, maybe a bit closer.

The portion of the CTA system map showing these stations and Navy Pier is here:

Lead in toys?

March 16th, 2008 by willarddiaz

I know that there are a lot of recalls out right now for name brand toys that contain lead. But what about toys that are not “name brand” toys. I have a large family with lots of kids to buy for including my own two kids. Some of the toys that my kids get are the cheap, dollar store kind that are all mostly made in china. Should these toys be avoided all together?

For now, avoid buying toys made in China since that is where the majority, if not all, the recall toys are being made in. Just make sure when you go to the toy store or whatever store you go buy the toys at, that you check the box to see where they are made.

My girlfriend works at Hooters and never wears undies with her pantyhose. Is that the norm with pantyhose?

March 14th, 2008 by willarddiaz

Pantyhose are part of the uniform and she says that it’s to avoid pantylines. Is she just being silly?

I never wear panties with pantyhose. There is a reason they are called PANTYhose. It would be like wearing two pair of underwear. You would not wear two bras at the same time so why wear two pairs of panties?

If you had the money, experience, time, & everything to own any of these macaws, which would you choose?

March 13th, 2008 by willarddiaz

Here are the choices:
-Hyacinth Macaw
-Blue & Gold Macaw
-Red Front Macaw
-Greenwing Macaw

Dont try to be funny and say that you wouldn’t get a macaw…because thats the answer Im looking for.

I would choose the blue & gold because it (I think) is the only one available where I am in AU. I’ve never seen any other around at all & just to have that one would be a nice start.

I’d never say I wouldn’t get a macaw LOL If we had the money ($8000) it was the first bird we ever wanted but way outa our reach.
